Happy Riverbend Day!

On July 20 of 2017, I walked out onto the field of what would one day become The Riverbend Preserve for the first time and I absolutely fell in love. If you’re interested, you can read the story of that day here.

But today, I’m celebrating the fifth Riverbend Day with the launch of RiverbendPreserve.com!

This property is absolutely magical, and I really wanted to share it with the world. That was all made possible by wonderful artists like Chad Cameron who took a sketch for the logo and turned it into the perfect representation of this place, Rick Aleman who created this beautiful and fantastical map of the Preserve, and Alyssa Blanco who took my pages of notes and photos and distilled them into a streamlined but content-rich online experience.

I hope you’ll explore the site a little, and I hope you’ll be inspired to find your own way out into nature.

If you’d like to find your way specifically here to this spot of heavenly ground in southwestern Washington State…well, I’m still working on that. But I’ll bet there will be an option soon.

In the meantime, enjoy this site, and have a very Happy Riverbend Day!
